What a lovely book!
We love Poppy from the first page, thanks to the delightful and brightly coloured illustrations which hold the attention throughout the story. Each page comes alive as we're taken through her dreams of what tails she could have and what she could do with them! Even though the book is recommended for younger children, my granddaughter aged nearly 9 loved it and had fun reading it to her younger brother. There is plenty of opportunity to expand on the storyline and to have imaginative discussions about what Poppy's thinking and what else she could do with her tails! It's a happy, feel good book and one that will be a staple in the bookcase to be re-read many times I'm sure.

A big hit!
You know that a children's book is a big hit when the child wants it read to them four or five times a day. And Poppy's Tail hits the nail on the head. Great success with my godson's 4 year old daughter who wants more stories about Poppy. Hope Cate Douglas has got follow ups in the pipeline. Has also resolved Christmas shopping issues - every small child I know will be getting a copy for Christmas.

Such a joy!
My 4 year old granddaughter loved Poppy’s Tail. Beautifully written and illustrated. As we ended reading the story I asked her which tail she loved best. She said the rainbow one (phew!). And was absolutely thrilled when I produced the rainbow tail. Wouldn’t take it off - and has worn to nursery school today!
